Welcome to the home of
the Clodbuster Base Ball Clubs

The Clodbuster Base Ball Clubs are dedicated to detailing the history of America's national pastime as well as educating the public on the the origins of the game.

The Clodbusters showcase their talents playing base ball as it was played during the United States' Civil War.

Please take a look around to learn more about the game we love, get to know your favorite players, and find out where you can see us play during the 2008 season.

News from the wire:

The Clodbusters have come out of the box swinging and are finishing up April with no losses. So far we have reconnected with our dear friends the Sycamore Grasshoppers (now currently the Wyandotte Ghostriders) in our season openers. Great sportmanship and a fine feast made for an excellent day of base ball.

Our second weekend of baseball took us to our second favorite tree lined field, Muffin Meadow, in Columbus. Again we would like to thank the Muffins for hosting and ordering the lovely weather we had to play throughout the day. Our thoughts go out to "Mudder" of the 1869 Red Stockings and hope he will recover from the spill he took while running to the third base. HUZZAH! to both the Muffins and Red Stockings for matches well played.

Mr. Treon is in the process on putting together an affilate team in his new home of North Carolina. It is hard to resist calling it a "farm" team of the Clodbusters.

Our 2008 schedule has been set which includes many tournaments, charity fuctions as well as home games played on one of vintage base ball's beautiful settings, Deeds Carillon Green. We do still have a few open dates to attend community and social events in the Dayton area.

We are currently seeking sposorships to help with operating expenses, such as bats, balls and uniforms. No donation is too small (or too large). Please visit our sponsor page if you or your business are interested in supporting Dayton's premier vintage base ball club.
