Welcome to the home of
the Clodbuster Base Ball Clubs

The Clodbuster Base Ball Clubs are dedicated to detailing the history of America's national pastime as well as educating the public on the the origins of the game.

The Clodbusters showcase their talents playing base ball as it was played during the United States' Civil War.

Please take a look around to learn more about the game we love, get to know your favorite players, and find out where you can see us play during the 2008 season.

News from the wire:

The Clodbusters hosted five fellow clubs on June 8th for the 2008 Clodbuster Cup. Click here for a summary of the day's events. We do want to thank Scott "Boll Weevil" Treon and his family for making the train trip up from the not so deep south to share our field one more time.

Our boys of summer past are reeling from a trip out west where they participated in the Extra Innings Tournament hosted by the Indianapolis Hoosiers. Unfortunately only 6 from the Club could make the carriage ride over and the remainder of the nine had to be filled out by revolvers.

The fine striking of Weasel, Polecat and Sawdust wasn't enough to overcome the fine striking and fielding of the clubs they faced. The Clodbusters face a 3 game losing streak as the Akron Blackstockings come into town.

Our 2008 schedule has been set which includes many tournaments, charity fuctions as well as home games played on one of vintage base ball's beautiful settings, Deeds Carillon Green. We do still have a few open dates to attend community and social events in the Dayton area.

We are currently seeking sposorships to help with operating expenses, such as bats, balls and uniforms. No donation is too small (or too large). Please visit our sponsor page if you or your business are interested in supporting Dayton's premier vintage base ball club.
